Through a consortium with Global Energy Interconnection Research Institute Co., Ltd. (GEIRI) and C-EPRI Electric Power Engineering Co., Ltd. (CEPRI), we are delivering full EPCIC services for an HVDC offshore converter platform located off the coast of Germany. Electricity generated by offshore wind farms will be converted from AC to DC power and transported to an onshore converter station located 146 miles (235 kilometers) onshore near Büttel. There, the electricity will be converted back into three-phase current and fed into the countries grid system.
