The goal of this project was to reduce 405 million metric tons of CO2 – a 30-50 percent reduction from the steel making site. During the pre-FEED phase, a thorough evaluation and selection of CO2 separation technology and a detailed study on the CO2 compressor driver were conducted. Equipment selection, sizing and plot space planning were integral components of this project.
