Scope
Early Contractor Involvement
Location
Canada
Highlights
- Includes the development of up to 530-turbine wind farm with the ability to generate 3.5GW of electricity and 150MW solar photovoltaic
- Island operation includes hydrogen storage and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS)
The project involves Front-End Engineering Design (FEED), execution planning and Total Installed Cost (TIC) estimate. The facility includes two production trains powered entirely by renewable energy to produce green ammonia through water electrolysis, generating green hydrogen. This hydrogen will be combined with nitrogen from air separation units to synthesize ammonia via the Haber-Bosch process. Renewable electricity will be produced from dedicated wind and solar farms. The facility also includes a jetty and storage systems to enable bulk ammonia export.
